The Environment

Power Pause is a one-of-a-kind workshop that addresses fundamental concerns, in the face of which most of us feel powerless today.

Workplaces have become competitive, constantly changing and demanding. Performance expectations follow a rising graph. The personal area is also undergoing a metamorphosis. Many of us seem unable to cope with the scenario. Stress is the general umbrella term we use to describe how we feel: irritable, stretched, anxious, burnt-out, exhausted, tense, reactive, trapped etc. Most of us believe that there can be no relief or recourse other than changing external circumstances. Since this is often impossible, it seems to be a problem with no solution.

Power Pause changes this perception

While accepting that pressures, deadlines and expectations will only increase, the workshop seeks to empower participants with advanced techniques from around the world, which can help them to cope with every kind of external challenge.

Participants will learn and try out tips and techniques to antidote immediate symptoms of stress as well as learn a regular practice , which if sustained, will guarantee a level of wellness they may never, yet, have experienced. A level of wellness, which will allow them to make choices that, can bring a paradigm shift in their lives.

This is NOT merely a stress-management intervention but a profoundly holistic program. It is an intervention that makes participants look at life differently: with passion, zest and enthusiasm.

The Dimensions

During the workshop itself, the participants will experience state-changes in the physical, mental and emotional areas.

An ancient, acclaimed sequence of simple and powerful exercises, with proven benefits- increased strength, energy and mental alertness- will be taught. A powerful set of breathing techniques and a method of deep relaxation will complete the routine. If sustained, this quick, Five minute practice can significantly transform physical wellness, energy levels, performance and abilities to cope under pressure.

The program will also focus on the mental dimension . Few are aware that the quality of our minds is directly responsible for the quality of our responses and hence, our life. Participants would be introduced to changing their states of mind instantly through powerful methods.

The fact that stress is caused by ‘our interpretation of events' and not so much by the event itself is covered along with taking responsibility for ones state of mind. In our experience this understanding in itself is transformative.

Participants will experientially learn to still the mind and hence enhance focus, concentration and sharpness. A quick clearing-of-the-mind technique that can remove any form of tension - in just a few minutes - will also be demonstrated, experienced and taught.

The emotional dimension will be covered through a fascinating session, which will teach the mind-body connection and a radical energy therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques that works wonders in minutes. Just by tapping on certain points of the body one can get relief from anxieties, anger, feelings of frustration, deadline stresses, aches and pains, addictions and deep rooted fears. This is the most effective way of learning to be emotionally intelligent and empowered rather than victimized as most of us feel in the face of over powering emotions. Participants will experience this as they learn the technique, which is one of the best-known methods of staying clear of the routine emotional traps we get stuck in.

The final part of the workshop will help participants reflect on the quality of their lives and what they can do to make them more meaningful and vibrant. Formulation of specific action plans for the future will help achieve this.
